Candy Marie Bridges

Hello everyone! My name is Candy Marie Bridges. My husband Jim and I live in the rural mountain town of Pine.  We are surrounded by some of the tallest Ponderosa Pines in the world. We call our abode “A piece of heaven.”
I was raised in Southern California  until 1981. At that time, my husband Mike and I married and moved to Chandler, Arizona.  We had three children, all grown up and on their own.  I moved to Pine, Arizona in 2007. A year later, I remarried after being a widow for five years. My husband Jim and I run a retreat house called Breath of Life.  We accommodate quilters, scrap bookers and christian groups.
In addition to running and care taking for the retreat house, I am a custom picture framer, calligraphy artist and now an author.
My new book, Meet Me In The Mountains Reflects the life of an ordinary woman, “Me” who experiences unexpected and extraordinary circum-

Through the pages of my memoir, you will be challenged to re think about your own trials and triumphs in life. This will happen through your own reflection and questions at the end of each chapter.

Blessings!

I loved this book! I now have an appreciation and understanding of the hurdles and trials that Candy endured in order to make her retreat house in the mountains a reality. I had the pleasure and priveledge of attending one of the first retreats that Candy hosted at Breath of Life Retreat House back in January 2008, and now that I have read Candy’s story of how the retreat house came to be, I now know “the rest of the story”. Candy’s honesty and sincerity will draw you into her life and help you to understand how a strong faith and trust in God will carry you through good times and bad. I recommend this book to anyone who loves reading non-fiction like I do.

Hi Candy, Just finished your book this morning and that in itself is a miracle. since it’s only been a week since I came down from spending a retreat with you. I was litteraly drawn into your life as you walked it out on paper. I LOVE how you stand firm in your faith and convictions and don’t mind it if someone calls you names for it. I know the feeling well!! Believing God will bless your socks off with not only finances, but the chance to put so much into so many lives through your book and retreat house. I know the 2 years I’ve been up there have been such a blessing. Already saving for next years retreat and a few days spent with you and Jim. Much love, Barb Bennett (Tiara Ladies retreat)

I am reading Candy’s book – Meet Me In The Mountains – am enjoying ‘living’ her life as she has shared it by writing this book. Candy has a way of communicating her experiences in her written work that makes it simple for others to relate to. Her writing style is like listening to someone you know share their story the way they remember it.

For those who enjoy reading ‘human interest’ stories, then I suggest you pick up Candy’s book and enjoy it, since it will be right up your alley…

  • I am interested in the possibility of receiving an advanced reading copy of the book “Meet Me In The Mountains” by Candy Marie Bridges for review.
